There are three ways to reach the Karahan Pension at Barhal Village which has a magical beauty resembling the Alp Mountains of Switzerland.

• By airplane: To come here by airplane you can fly from both of the Sabiha Gökçen and Atatürk Airports to Trabzon or  to Erzurum cities. From the bus terminals of these cities, there are buses or minibuses to Artvin city/ Yusufeli town, departing at certain hours of the day. After Yusufeli, you can reach Barhal by minibus that goes to the village.

• Land Route: Through the Erzurum/Yusufeli road. This road is preferred by our guests because it is short. Another route is Trabzon/Artvin/Yusufeli road.

• By Train: You can buy online tickets from İstanbul and  go to Erzurum and then reach Yusufeli easily.   

COMPARATIVE ROAD ROUTES:

• IF TRABZON – YUSUFELİ ROAD IS USED:

It is 338 km between Trabzon and Yusufeli and takes 7 hours by bus. ( By private car, it takes 5 hours)

• IF ERZURUM – YUSUFELİ ROAD IS USED:

It is 145 km between Erzurum and Yusufeli and takes 2 hours by bus. (By private car, it is 1,5 hours)

• IF YOU COME TO YUSUFELİ FROM ARTVİN CITY CENTER:

It is 79 km between Artvin and Yusufeli. It takes 2 hours by bus. By private car, it     takes 1,5 hours.

• IF YOU COME FROM YUSUFELİ TOWN CENTER:

It is 33 km between Yusufeli and our pension which is next to the Georgian Church. It takes 44-55 minutes by “dolmuş” minibus or car.

Note:
If our guests demand, Karahan Pension’s own vehicles are at their service for rent. What is more, if there is a demand, our guests can organise trips to the touristic places like Ani Ruins in Kars, Sumela Monastry in Tabzon and historical sites around Artvin by these vehicles of our pension.
